Abadan Petrochemical
Design, procurement, transportation, construction, and installation of prefabricated buildings, along with executing electromechanical installations, and developing and stabilizing capacity at Abadan Oil Refinery.
Client: Sinopec Consortium and Oil Design and Construction Company ODCC
Abadan Oil Refinery, with 110 years of history, is one of Iran's largest refineries, producing products such as liquefied gas, motor gasoline, white oil, gas oil, jet fuel, furnace oil, various base engine oils, various bitumen grades, various petroleum solvents, sulfur, and gas (feed for Bandar Imam Petrochemical's aromatic hydrocarbons) . This refinery supplies 25% of Iran's fuel needs and is the oldest refinery complex in the country.
Development and Capacity Stabilization Project at Abadan Oil Refinery:
With the implementation of this project, the production capacity of Abadan Oil Refinery has increased by 210,000 barrels per day to reach 630,000 barrels per day. Accordingly, gasoline production at this refinery has increased from 10 million liters to 14 million liters per day, and diesel production has increased from 16 million liters to 20 million liters per day. The project was completed in December under challenging sanction conditions, relying on domestic capabilities and has been integrated into the production cycle. Among the other benefits of operating this unit are completing the value chain, reducing the country's vulnerability to sanctions by converting crude oil and gas condensates into petroleum products, developing the country's refining capacity, and enhancing the quality of petroleum products according to domestic consumption trends.
Raadan Services:
In the engineering sector, over 95% of the project's engineering was carried out by domestic companis, and in the goods sector, over 70% of the goods and equipment used in the project were procured by domestic manufacturers and suppliers. Ultimately, more than 102 domestic companies participated in this project, producing the necessary equipment. Raadan Niru Zagros, as one of these entities, designed and constructed approximately 7,000 square meters of non-industrial buildings for the project.
